frequently asked questions

What is reclaimed and deadstock fabric?

Reclaimed fabric is fabric that has been up cycled from something else, for example, fabric that was previously a tablecloth or a pair of curtains. All reclaimed fabric is washed in non-bio washing powder before it is made into a garment. Deadstock fabrics are leftover or surplus fabric from a manufacturer's or designer's production run, that was never used for its intended purpose. Sometimes reclaimed and deadstock fabrics have stains or imperfections. Every effort is used to remove or avoid these when garments are constructed, but sometimes this is unavoidable.

How should I care for my REMNANT garment?

Given the nature of using reclaimed and deadstock fabrics, the fibre content of the fabric cannot be guaranteed. It's therefore recommended that garments are either hand or spot washed to maintain their longevity.
